Happy #10 to Our Maddie!

The thought of Maddie being 10 is sort of killing me.  I am not nearly old enough to have a 10 year old, but, here we are.  Way too close to Junior High and High school and much to close to college and marriage.

Maddie is an artist, pianist, horse lover, swimmer (FISH.), book worm.  I am talking book almost permanently affixed in her hands.

She is smart and joyful.  Her laugh is amazing, it always makes me smile!  I love her to death!!!

On the day she was born her doctor commented that she was the most beautiful baby that she had ever seen, even more so than her very own 6 children.  I must say that I agree!

Happy Birthday to our Maddie Bug!  We love you little one.

And today, with FRESHLY removed braces she is even more beautiful!!!!!

Blogs Give Me Brain Damage

I am not super computer savvy, especially when it comes to blogging.  I hate trying to figure out how to make them cute and adorable.  So, alas, I throw in the towel.  Don't come to my blog looking for something cute, you are not going to find it.  Just a bunch of cute pictures of cute little girls having a great life!  (I hope.)

This is how I feel while trying to figure out blog stuff:

With a little bit of this mixed in:

Yeah, that about sums it up.

Ryan and I saw Les Miserables over the weekend.  I have no words to even accurately describe how much I loved it.  The tears would not stop.  The music was exquisite and the characters were so perfectly portrayed.  It really sheds a whole new light on the story when you can see the faces up close and their expressions.

In the very last scene there is a line in the song the says,

"To love another person is to see the face of God."

I have thought about this for the past couple of days and have thought about how very thankful I am for my family.  It is not always easy to be a mom and a wife, there are countless hours of work and worry, thankless meals of crying and fighting, but at the end of the day when they are snug in their beds and their little faces are peaceful and quiet, this line now comes to mind.  Through all of the hard parts, the love of another person is priceless.  And to give love to another person is truely perfection.  And when the thank you's and helping hands come around (which does happen often) , I am so grateful!
